Qolsys Smoke Detector- Battery Replacement
Qolsys QS5110-840 / QS5110-P01 IQ SMOKE Smoke Heat Detector:
Twist sensor counter-clockwise to remove from the base, then remove the batteries. Leave the batteries out of the sensor for a minimum of 30 seconds before installing 3 fresh AAA alkaline batteries.
Twist sensor clockwise to close, ensuring the notch/line on the base and the notch/line on the sensor are aligned to avoid a tamper (you should hear it click/snap shut)
We recommend contacting the support desk during office hours (Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm) or the monitoring station after hours at 1.888.961.7333 to put the system on test before changing the batteries to avoid a false alarm.
