DSC - Cellular Communicator Battery Replacement
Some DSC alarm systems are using an older cellular communicator which has its' own backup battery. Eventually, this battery will wear out and have to be replaced.
You will need to locate the cellular communicator.The GSM box will look something like the picture below. The main indicator will be the antenna. You will have to remove the front panel by removing the screws holding it in place.
Once the front panel has been removed, you will see something like the picture below. To replace the battery, disconnect the two wire from the old battery's posts. Then connect the wire the corresponding coloured posts on the new battery (red to red, black to black). Place the battery on shelf where the old battery rested then replace the front panel. You are done.
