Alarm.com - Add/Configure notification recipients

Recipients must be added to each notification the user wants to receive. There is no limit to the number of recipients that can be added to receive a notification.

 Note: Verify push notifications are enabled for push device recipients. For more information about how to configure push notifications, see Configure push notifications

To add/configure notification recipients using the Customer Website:

  1. Log into the Customer Website. 
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification to create a new notification or click edit for an existing notification to update. 
  4. In Recipients, click Add to select which contacts receive the notification.
  5. Click to select the entries in the Address Book to be notified.
    • If a contact is not listed:
      1. Click New to add a new Address Book entry.
      2. Enter the new contact information, then click Add Contact

         Note: If a notification recipient does not have the desired method of communication listed (e.g., phone, email, SMS), it can be added to their user profile. For more information about how to add or edit user information, see Add/Edit secondary user information
         
    • To remove recipients, click Delete to remove the desired notification recipient.
  6. Once all desired recipients are selected, click Close.
  7. Verify all recipients and notification settings are correct.
  8. Click Save.

To add/configure notification recipients using the Customer app:

  1. Log into the Customer app. 
  2. Tap menu.  
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Configure.
  5. Tap  to create a new notification, or tap an existing notification to update. 
  6. In Recipients, tap Add to select which contacts receive the notification. 
  7. Tap to select the entries in the Address Book to be notified, then tap Close
    • If a contact is not listed:
      1. Tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
      2. Enter the new contact's information, then tap Add Contact

         Note: If a notification recipient does not have the desired method of communication listed (e.g., phone, email, SMS), it can be added to their user profile. For more information about how to add or edit user information, see Add/Edit secondary user information
         
    • To remove recipients, tap Delete to remove the desired notification recipient. 
  8. Once all desired recipients are selected, tap Close.
  9. Verify all recipients and notification settings are correct.
  10. Tap Save.
