Below warranty schedule no longer effective as of 2019 Jan 01
Regular service rates and hardware costs will apply on all installations and service requests not covered under a warranty or a purchased and current Service Plan, on top of your monthly monitoring fees. For all service work the following warranties apply:
Installations - 90 days on installation work.
Switch Overs - 90 days on the installed Reed supplied equipment.
Service Calls - 90 days on the same defect or issues arising from a repair.
After 90 Days there is minimum one hour charge for all on site service work. For installations, service charges apply for requested changes to a system not listed within the installation proposal or after the installation has been signed for.
Access Control Systems - One Year Manufacturer's Warranty
Alarm Systems - One Year Manufacturer's Warranty
HD Video Surveillance Systems - One to Three Year Manufacturer's Warranty
Intercom Systems - One Year Manufacturer's Warranty
Other Systems or Parts - One Year Manufacturer's Warranty
All Hardware warranties begin on the date of installation. Labour charges can apply on parts under a Manufacturer's Warranty. Reed Security does not offer coverage on accidental damages or user errors. Batteries and other 'consumable' parts are the responsibility of the client and not covered by ongoing service plans or monthly monitoring. Any and all request for service on said parts are billable subject to current fees.

In matters of discrepancy, the Warranties on your signed contract will apply. Travel costs are extra on all service requests outside our standard service area.
