Alarm.com - Mobile App Troubleshooting


Having troubles using your Alarm.com App? Is ii reporting failed updates, freezing up, not showing the correct status? First check the App and device.

Please try these steps, one at a time, and check to see if your App is working after each.
The steps to troubleshoot our Alarm.com App on your device are:
  1. Restart the App.
    On your device, close the app down so it is not running in the background. We actually recommend closing all the running apps if you can.

  2. Log out and back into the Alarm.com App.
    In the App look for the menu button, Three Lines, in the Top left of the screen.

      
    Tap that and scroll to the very bottom to log out.


    Close the App after signing out and restart it to sign back in.

  3. Check for Updates
    Run the update check on you device and the App Store for your device. Install any new updates for the App and Device.

  4. Restart your device.
    Power the unit off completely and wait 10 seconds before powering it on. This can help finish any updates that may have started in the background.

  5. Uninstall the App
    - Close the App
    - Remove the App from your device
    - Restart your device
    - Reinstall the Alarm.com App from the App Store.
