Simon XT - Communications Test
Test communications between your system and the central monitoring station at least once a week to make sure you have the proper telephone connection.
To test communications with the monitoring station with your system, follow the instructions below:
The system must be in disarm mode.
Use the arrow keys [<][>] to scroll until the display shows 'System Tests', and then press OK. The display will show 'Enter Code'.
Enter your master code, and then press OK. The display shows 'Comm Test'.
Press OK. The display shows 'Comm Test is On'.
If the communication test is successful, the display shows 'Comm Test OK'.
Press Status repeatedly to exit.
If the communication test is successful, the display shows Comm Test OK. If the test is unsuccessful, the Status button will light within 10 minutes and the display shows Comm Failure. If a communication test fails, call your security dealer
