GE/Interlogix Simon 3 - Adjusting Status Sound Volume
It is possible to adjust the volume of the Status Sound on your Simon 3 alarm panel, such as arming beeps, trouble beeps, and status beeps. The lowest volume setting is 1, the highest is 10.
If you are turning down the volume of trouble beeps during an ongoing sensor trouble, make sure to turn the volume up after the issue has been resolved.
Adjusting the volume will require opening the front panel to access programming options.
To choose a volume other than default (7), follow the below instructions.
- Open the front panel to expose the programming options. Panel announces, Use numbered keys to enter ID.
- Enter Access Code using the numbered keys. Panel announces, Please select from Start Menu.
- Press Add from the Start menu. Panel announces, Select from main menu
- Press Option #. Panel announces, Option 1, press again for next option or done to select.
- Press 55. Panel announces, Option 55, press again for next option or done to select
- Use the numbered keys to enter the desired volume setting (01-10).
- Press DONE.
You can also have your panel set the volume of status sounds to the default setting (7) with the following instructions.
- Open panel cover. Panel announces, Use numbered keys to enter ID.
- Enter Access Code using the numbered keys. Panel announces, Please select from Start Menu.
- Press Delete from the Start menu. Panel announces, Select from main menu
- Press Option #. Panel announces, Option 1, press again for next option or done to select.
- Press 55.
- Press DONE
