It is rare for the panel to freeze up and not respond, but if this happens, you'll need to reboot the system.

If your system is DISARMED and it freezes, press and hold the Home button for 60 seconds.  If the screen is displaying something, the screen will go black, this is part of the reboot process. If the screen is black, you will notice that the screen will flicker.  Give the system 2-3 minutes to turn back on and go through its boot up process.
