DSC-PG9939 Wireless Keyfob: Battery Replacement



Low Battery

When the battery is low, the LED light flickers when the buttons are pressed.

A low battery message for the keyfob can appear on the touchscreen or touchpad, and in the Alarm.com App 

Battery Replacement

Warning: Danger of explosion if batteries are installed incorrectly. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Keep away from small children. If batteries are swallowed, promptly see a doctor. Do not try to recharge these batteries. Disposal of used batteries must be made in accordance with the waste recovery and recycling regulations in your area.

To replace the battery:

  1. Put the system on test mode to avoid any false alarms - call the local Reed Security office at 306.653.3200 option 3 during office hours (Mon-Fri 8am - 4:30pm) or after hours, call the monitoring station at 1.888.961.7333
  2. Remove the screw from the case back using a screwdriver.
  3. Open the cover.
  4. Insert the blade of a small screwdriver under the battery.
  5. Twist the screwdriver to release the battery.
  6. Remove the battery.
  7. Wait 30 seconds.
  8. With the Positive (+) end of a new battery facing up, insert the battery.
    • Note: The polarity of the battery must be observed. Improper handling of lithium batteries may result in heat generation, explosion, or fire, which may lead to personal injuries.
  9. Press down to secure the battery.
  10. Replace the back cover and screw.
  11. Remove your system from Test Mode.
